Tech billionaire and former President Trump ally Elon Musk faces a stern warning from Trump: any financial support for Democrat candidates will result in “very serious consequences.”
The once-friendly relationship between the America First president and the SpaceX founder has dramatically collapsed following Musk’s public criticism of Republican budget legislation.
In a bold statement that has sent shockwaves through both political and business circles, President Trump made it clear that Musk’s potential support of Democrats would not go unpunished.
During a phone interview with NBC News, Trump did not mince words about the consequences Musk would face.
“If he does, he’ll have to pay the consequences for that. He’ll have to pay very serious consequences if he does that,” Trump declared.
The confrontation stems from Musk’s criticism of the GOP budget bill, which he called a “deficit-increasing monstrosity.”
Despite once being a key figure in Trump’s Department of Government Efficiency, Musk has increasingly positioned himself against the President’s legislative priorities.
“I think it’s a very bad thing, because he’s very disrespectful. You could not disrespect the office of the president,” Trump stated in his interview, highlighting Musk’s lack of respect for the highest office in the land.
The Republican budget bill at the center of the dispute includes critical conservative priorities such as tax cuts, enhanced border security, and increased military spending.
These essential initiatives would be partially offset by reductions in bloated government programs like Medicaid, representing a return to fiscal responsibility after years of Democrat-led spending sprees.
When asked if he would consider reconciling with Musk, Trump was direct: “No. I would assume so, yeah. I’m too busy doing other things. I have no intention of speaking to him.”
Moreover, the feud intensified when Musk deleted a post linking Trump to Jeffrey Epstein and retracted a threat to decommission SpaceX’s Dragon spacecraft.
Trump has suggested he might cancel SpaceX’s federal contracts, demonstrating his willingness to protect taxpayer dollars from being funneled to those who work against American interests.
In addition, Vice President J.D. Vance has suggested that Musk’s actions were emotional and mistaken, expressing hope that the billionaire might return to supporting conservative values.
Meanwhile, Musk continues to oppose the GOP’s bill and has even suggested forming a third political party, further alienating himself from the Republican base.
In spite of Musk’s opposition, Trump remains confident that the budget bill will pass the Senate, showing that no single billionaire can derail the America First agenda that millions of patriotic Americans voted for.
Ultimately, this confrontation represents yet another example of President Trump standing firm against elites who attempt to undermine conservative principles and American prosperity.
