Pop star singer Taylor Swift was granted a restraining order against a man who repeatedly stalked her and showed up at her Los Angeles home claiming to share a child with her.

45-year-old Brian Jason Wagner allegedly harassed Swift by sending hundreds of emails to her staff, changing his driver’s license to her address, and making disturbing false claims about their relationship.
Court documents revealed Wagner visited Swift’s Los Angeles residence multiple times starting in July 2024, creating an escalating pattern of concerning behavior.
The temporary restraining order, granted to Swift this week, prohibits Wagner from coming within 100 yards of the singer, her home, vehicles, and workplace.
The artist stated in her filing that she fears for her safety and the safety of her family due to Wagner’s persistent and delusional actions.
The stalker attempted to divert mail from Swift’s residence to his attention and even changed his driver’s license to reflect her address, showing a concerning level of obsession.
Court documents further showed that Wagner sent lengthy communications to Swift while he was incarcerated and bombarded her staff with hundreds of emails.
His false claims of having a personal relationship with Swift and sharing a child with her demonstrate the delusional nature of his fixation on the superstar.
Still, this is not the first time Swift has faced stalker threats. The singer has dealt with multiple stalkers in recent years, including incidents in 2017 and 2018.

A court hearing for a more permanent restraining order against Wagner is scheduled for June 30.
