This whole deal’s main goal is to make clear that former President Donald Trump did not participate in insurrection or rebellion against the United States.
Gaetz’s initiative comes after a concerted effort to rally support among Republican lawmakers, evidenced by an email circulated to GOP colleagues more than two weeks ago, as reported by The Daily Mail.
The unveiling of this resolution by Rep. Matt Gaetz and his Republican colleagues is strategically planned to coincide with the Supreme Court’s examination of the decision by the Colorado Supreme Court to remove former President Donald Trump from the state’s primary ballot.
The group of Republicans supporting this resolution includes prominent figures like Reps. Marjorie Taylor Greene, Andy Biggs, Kelly Armstrong, and House Republican policy Chair Gary Palmer and all of them firmly believe in Trump’s innocence.
All these notorious Republicans and many others who stand with Trump believe that this political persecution made by the Biden administration and the whole Democratic Party and supporters of this all over the US has come way too far and if they want to keep Trump away from the White House they’ll have to settle things in the ballot boxes and not in the court.
As of now Donald Trump is running over Biden in most polls made across the country and in the states where Biden is above Trump the difference between both is almost nonexistent.
