(GoRealNewsNow.com) – For unashamedly mocking Christianity, former President Donald Trump slammed the Last Supper display at the Paris Olympic Games opening ceremony and called it a disgrace.

During an interview on the broadcast of Fox News Channel’s “The Ingraham Angle,” Trump said the “opening ceremony was a disgrace, actually. I thought it was a disgrace.”

The scene depicted dancers and dancers in drag surrounding a table of what appeared to resemble the last dinner between Jesus and his disciples.

Moreover, the French Bishops’ Conference said the ceremony “included scenes of mockery and derision of Christianity.”

Host Laura Ingraham replied, “The mocking of The Last Supper. Catholics and Christians across the globe are outraged.”

“I thought it was terrible,” Trump responded.

Similar to Trump, House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) also condemned the scene in a post on X, writing, “Last night’s mockery of the Last Supper was shocking and insulting to Christian people around the world who watched the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games.”

He added, “The war on our faith and traditional values knows no bounds today. But we know that truth and virtue will always prevail.”

Later, Ingraham mentioned that the next Olympics would be in Los Angeles. Trump responded by saying there would not be a Last Supper as portrayed in Paris.

“We won’t be having a Last Supper as portrayed the way they portrayed it the other night,” he asserted.

He continued, “I mean, they can do certain things. I thought it was terrible … Look, I’m for everybody. I’m very open-minded, but I think what they did was a disgrace.”
