(GoRealNewsNow.com) – A bombshell report revealed that a Secret Service agent is accused of sexually assaulting one of the Democrat presidential nominee Kamala Harris’ staff.
The incident comes as the agency tasked with protecting Joe Biden and presidential candidates faces enormous pressure after two recent failed assassination attempts against GOP nominee Donald Trump.
According to the report, the male agent allegedly attempted to force himself on the female staffer in a hotel room in Green Bay, Wisconsin, last week.
As reported by RealClearPolitics, which cited multiple Secret Service sources, he and several Harris staffers were there to organize a campaign event.
After finishing their work for the day, Secret Service agents and Harris staffers reportedly gathered for dinner, where they had been drinking.
Following the meal, they moved to the staffer’s hotel room.
Once inside, the heavily intoxicated agent allegedly groped the woman in full view of others present, the report stated.
In turn, the staffers quickly intervened and removed the agent from the room. He was reportedly so drunk that he passed out in the hallway.
This week, he was called to Secret Service headquarters in Washington, D.C., where he was ordered to meet with agency investigators.
“The U.S. Secret Service Office of Professional Responsibility is investigating a misconduct allegation involving an employee,” a Secret Service spokesperson stated.
They continued, “The Secret Service holds its personnel to the highest standards. The employee has been placed on administrative leave pending the outcome of the investigation.”
Regarding the allegations, the Secret Service confirmed that it had placed an employee on administrative leave “pending the outcome of an investigation.”
