(GoRealNewsNow.com) – In a new bout of sickening anti-Semitic protests in the United States, pro-Islamist terrorism protesters have vandalized a Jewish restaurant in Philadelphia owned by an American-Israeli chef. At the same time, other demonstrators committed vandalism on the University of Pennsylvania campus.

During a pro-Palestinian march in Philadelphia on Sunday, protesters gathered outside Goldie, a falafel restaurant owned by American-Israeli chef Michael Solomonov.

They vandalized the establishment’s front door and windows and shouted anti-Israeli insults.

“Goldie, Goldie, you can’t hide, we charge you with genocide,” the protesters chanted.

Solomonov, an Israeli-born chef raised in Pittsburgh, began his culinary career focusing on Italian cuisine.

His career path shifted in 2003 following the death of his brother, David, who was serving in the Israel Defense Forces and was killed by snipers along the Lebanese border. Since then,

Solomonov has established several Israeli- and Jewish-themed restaurants, primarily in Philadelphia.

The incident at Goldie drew stern criticism from Pennsylvania’s Democrat Governor Josh Shapiro.

“Tonight in Philly, we saw a blatant act of anti-semitism — not a peaceful protest. A restaurant was targeted and mobbed because its owner is Jewish and Israeli. This hate and bigotry is reminiscent of a dark time in history,” he stated.

The incident was also criticized by Andrew Bates, a White House spokesman, cited by National Review.

“It is anti-Semitic and completely unjustifiable to target restaurants that serve Israeli food over disagreements with Israeli policy, as Governor Shapiro has underlined. This behavior reveals the kind of cruel and senseless double standard that is a calling card of anti-Semitism,” he declared.

“President Biden has fought against the evil of anti-Semitism his entire life, including by launching the first national strategy to counter this hate in American history. He will always stand up firmly against these kinds of undignified actions,” the White House official added.

The protest extended beyond Goldie, as demonstrators obstructed traffic in downtown Philadelphia and marched through the area around the University of Pennsylvania.

Videos captured near the university depicted the crowd chanting “Long live the intifada” and calling for an “intifada revolution.”

Additionally, protesters reportedly set off smoke bombs in the colors of the Palestinian flag and vandalized university property, including spray-painting “Free Palestine” on a campus map.

The nation has seen multiple far-left and pro-Islamist rallies since October 7, when the Palestinian terror group Hamas massacred over 1,400 people in Israel.
