(GoRealNewsNow.com) – In a tragic incident that could’ve had a deadly result if circumstances were slightly different, “Modern Family” star Sarah Hyland recently checked her security footage and saw two masked men breaking into her home.
According to law enforcement sources, Hyland’s Los Angeles home was broken into just as the sun was starting to set.
TMZ reported that the suspects smashed a glass window to get inside while it was still daylight.
Although Hyland was not home at the time, she got an alert from her security system and watched the masked men leave her front door through the live feed.
Moreover, the police were alerted immediately and arrived at the house quickly, but the burglars had already fled.
They checked the home to make sure no one was still inside and confirmed that it was empty.
Even though it is not clear if anything was stolen from Hyland’s home yet, she needs to return to check her belongings to figure out if anything is missing.
There is no information on the damage cost to her home either.
In addition, details about the suspects seen on Hyland’s security feed have not been released. No arrests have been made, and the investigation is still ongoing.
This is not the first time a break-in has happened to a celebrity as there has been a rise in residential burglaries in Los Angeles this year.
