(GoRealNewsNow.com) – In a bombshell declaration, representative Matt Gaetz (R-FL) claimed a Biden-Harris administration’s whistleblower informed him that five known “assassination teams” are actively hunting GOP nominee Donald Trump.
Gaetz said the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) knew about these teams before the second assassination attempt on Trump last week in Florida.
Speaking on the “Human Events Daily” show on Real America’s Voice, Gaetz stated:
“I had a senior official from the Department of Homeland Security in my office before the second assassination attempt, saying that what he has assessed is that there are five known assassination teams in the United States, three inspired by other governments, two that are here, that are known domestic assassination teams.”
He added, “This individual was coming to me, concerned that the force protection around President Trump, even prior to that second assassination attempt, was not sufficient for what it needed to be.”
Two federal officials confirmed that U.S. authorities are aware of plots linked to Iran targeting current or former U.S. officials, including Trump.
So far, the federal government has portrayed the two attempts on Trump’s life as acts of lone actors with no ties to foreign or domestic groups. However, Gaetz raised concerns about the security surrounding Trump compared to others.
“That raises real questions about why certain teams were being pulled off of the Trump deal detail and put on, for example, the [first lady] Jill Biden detail,” Gaetz said.
Furthermore, the GOP representative underscored that they do not want anything bad to happen to Jill Biden. Still, the threat envelope for her was substantially different from the threat envelope around Trump.
He also mentioned that it would not have required pulling assets away from the Trump detail for the Joe Biden detail, the former national security adviser John Bolton detail, or any other details that were beefed up at the same time the requests from the Trump detail.
Meanwhile, Asif Merchant, a Pakistani man with alleged ties to Iran, pleaded not guilty last week to charges related to a plot to assassinate American politicians, including Trump, as revenge for the 2020 killing of Iranian commander Qassem Soleimani.
