(GoRealNewsNow.com) – Florida’s Attorney General, Ashley Moody, slammed Joe Biden over the poor security of the U.S. southern border during a recent interview on Newsmax’s “Wake Up America.” She labeled the current situation as “astounding” and directly attributed it to Biden’s policies, which she believes have weakened border security and allowed an unprecedented surge of illegal entries.
Highlighting the gravity of the situation, Moody said, “Because of his purposeful actions, [Customs and Border Protection] is having to warn that terrorists may be coming across. What’s shocking is nobody is really paying much attention to this.” Her comments came in the wake of a report by The Daily Caller.
The news outlet shared that the San Diego Field Office Intelligence Division of Customs and Border Protection (CBP) issued a memo indicating that members of Hamas, Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ), and Hezbollah might attempt to cross the southern border.
This specific memo linked the potential rise in encounters with these groups to the war between Israel and Hamas, suggesting that it could motivate terrorists to move to or from the Middle East.
Moody was sharply critical of Biden’s border policy, stating, “Biden, since he’s been in office, has broken the record every single year for the most migrant encounters at the border.” She criticized the administration for weakening border security measures and accused it of pushing large numbers of people into the country, resulting in critical surges at the border.
Furthermore, Moody pointed out that among the people entering, some are on the terrorism watch list. She said, “As soon as we saw this break out, I immediately started cautioning. We’ve been fighting them in court. We’ve been winning.” Yet, she expressed frustration with the Biden administration, saying they’ve been continually adjusting their policies.
Moreover, Moody linked the rise in immigration to the increase in the flow of the deadly drug, fentanyl, into the U.S. She highlighted the devastating impact of fentanyl, stating, “The fastest-growing age group that’s dying from fentanyl overdoses is children under 14.” She believes the current drug crisis can be traced back to the Biden administration’s policies and decisions.
Concluding her remarks, Moody said, “There is enough fentanyl to kill the entire U.S. population 35 times over. Because of them, they are making it harder on our law enforcement officers across this nation just to keep up and save lives. It’s a tragedy, and it could have all been prevented, but for the insane, unresponsive, irresponsible, callous policy decisions of this administration.”
