(GoRealNewsNow.com) – In a gruesome incident near the Las Vegas Strip, a 29-year-old man allegedly murdered another man at a bus stop, reportedly consuming parts of the victim’s face, according to court documents.
The sequence of events began just before 5 a.m. when someone alerted the police of a man apparently tackling another to the ground along Las Vegas Boulevard near Charleston Boulevard.
Roughly 45 minutes later, another call reported a man at a bus stop “eating” another man’s face.
The man was identified as Colin Czech and has been charged with open murder.
Upon arrival, officers found Czech kneeling beside the victim, his appearance disturbing with “biological matter in his hair, mouth and on his clothing” while claiming he had been attacked by the victim.
Emergency services rushed the victim, identified as Kenneth Brown, to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The medical report noted that Brown suffered extensive injuries, which included a large gash on his head, and he was missing an eye and an ear.
While detained, Czech exhibited erratic behavior, drifting in and out of consciousness.
As per the court documents, he later revealed to officers that he was homeless and had been sleepless for “five days straight,” attributing his condition to being “possessed.”
During interrogation, the man confessed to the detectives that he had used his teeth as weapons against the victim, specifically stating “he used his teeth to eat (the man’s) eyeballs and ears.”
Czech was scheduled for an initial court appearance at 1:30 p.m. early this week in the Las Vegas Justice Court, which he missed due to hospitalization, as per the judge.
