(GoRealNewsNow.com) – The end of Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour stop in Australia took an unexpected turn.

Scott Swift, Taylor’s father, is being accused of assaulting a photographer during their celebrations Down Under.

The NSW Police Force has confirmed they’re looking into what happened after an incident involving 51-year-old Ben McDonald at a ferry wharf on Sydney’s North shore. This alleged assault took place around 2:30 a.m on Tuesday morning, but thankfully, McDonald didn’t need medical attention.

Ben McDonald shared his side of the story with the media, saying that the trouble began when he and Scott, along with the pop star, were wrapping up their night. According to McDonald, after they got off their luxury yacht, Scott “charged” at him.

“She got off the boat, she walked towards security guards who were shoving umbrellas in our faces, and then he charged,” McDonald alleged. He claims the encounter left him with “very sore chops” but insists he did nothing to provoke such a response from Scott. “He probably decided he needed to defend his daughter, for some reason,” McDonald added, expressing his shock over the incident, saying, “In 23 years I have never seen anything like it.”

However, a representative for Taylor Swift, the 14-time Grammy winner, offered a different perspective on the events.

The rep told the media that the situation escalated when “two individuals were aggressively pushing their way towards Taylor, grabbing at her security personnel, and threatening to throw a female staff member into the water.”

Photos and footage from the night show Taylor and Scott Swift, with Taylor being shielded by a black umbrella and flanked by security guards as they walked off the dock.

The footage further shows a tense moment as Taylor and her father approached their car, and a scuffle seemed to occur as the cameraman got close to the open car door, leading to confusion and a tumble.

The investigation by the NSW Police Force continues and Taylor’s “Swifties” and the public in general wait for further details.
