MSNBC Host Attacks Tucker Carlson

( – Perhaps jealous that he and his co-host wife didn’t take the initiative to seek an interview with Russian President Vladimir Putin at a time when all the world would like to know more about Putin and his war against Ukraine, MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” instead attacked the man who did – Tucker Carlson.

Joe Scarborough criticized Carlson for securing an interview with Putin, suggesting that by doing so, Carlson was helping Putin rather than promoting fair journalism. “The Republican Party now in the House is doing Vladimir Putin’s bidding, and somebody that we know, that we used to know, going over doing Vladimir Putin’s bidding, attacking Western journalists, saying if only Western journalists would have come over here and tried to even report fairly on the war,” Scarborough remarked. He highlighted the risks journalists face in Russia, noting that some are imprisoned for their efforts to cover the war accurately.

Carlson had earlier announced on X that he landed an interview with Putin, criticizing Western media for their lack of effort to do the same and accusing them of bias towards Ukraine. “We are not encouraging you to agree with what Putin may say in this interview,” Carlson stated. “But we are urging you to watch it. You should know as much as you can. And then, like a free citizen and not a slave, you can decide for yourself.”

This move by Carlson drew criticism from renowned journalists, including Christiane Amanpour, who countered Carlson’s claims by highlighting the ongoing efforts of journalists to secure interviews with Putin, efforts that have persisted for years.

Scarborough’s critique of Carlson extended to Putin’s openness to Western media, suggesting Putin only welcomes interviews that would not challenge him. “He’ll let puppets talk to him, but nobody else,” Scarborough said, casting doubt on the integrity of Carlson’s interview with the Russian leader.
