(GoRealNewsNow.com) – With America’s illegal alien invasion persisting in full swing on Joe Biden’s watch, GOP Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene is equally persistent in her attempt to hold Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas to account, filing a new impeachment resolution against him.

On Wednesday, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) made another attempt to impeach Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, as detailed in her statement presented on the House floor.

Greene’s efforts are in response to Mayorkas’ handling of border security and immigration policies under the Biden administration, which have allowed some 8 million illegal immigrants to enter the United States since January 2021.

Greene’s resolution to impeach Mayorkas, introduced for the third time as a question of privilege, could potentially lead to a House vote by Friday, The Daily Caller observes in a report.

“Rather than adhering to an oath he took to defend and secure our country and uphold the Constitution when he was sworn in as Secretary of Homeland Security, Alejandro Nicholas Mayorkas has engaged in a pattern of conduct that is incompatible with the laws of the United States,” reads the resolution.

It further accuses Mayorkas of failing to effectively control the southern border, contributing to an “invasion” of border states through the processing of illegal immigrants; it implicates him in the deaths of Americans due to fentanyl smuggling across the border.

“Secretary Mayorkas continues to be laser-focused on the safety and security of our nation. This baseless attack is completely without merit and a harmful distraction from our critical national security priorities,” a DHS spokesperson told The Caller.

“Every day, the men and women of the Department of Homeland Security work tirelessly to keep America safe. They need Congress to stop wasting time and do its job by reforming our broken immigration system,” the official added.

Greene’s latest resolution mirrors one she introduced on November 9, subsequently referred to the Committee on Homeland Security by a bipartisan House vote, including eight Republicans.

This marks Greene’s third attempt to impeach Mayorkas. Other Republican Representatives, including Andy Biggs of Arizona, Pat Fallon of Texas, and Clay Higgins of Louisiana, have made similar efforts.

In addition to targeting Mayorkas, Greene has pursued actions to censure or expel Democratic Representatives like Rashida Tlaib of Michigan, Jamaal Bowman of New York, and Maxine Waters of California.
