Over 30 People Shot – DETAILS

(GoRealNewsNow.com) – Adding to the alarming wave of mass shootings shaking the U.S. lately, over 30 people were shot and at least one died across New York, Alabama, Missouri and Ohio this weekend.

These incidents come amid a surge in mass shootings, including a deadly attack at an Arkansas grocery store, which left four dead and nine injured, and another at a Kentucky nightclub that resulted in one dead and seven wounded.

According to the Gun Violence Archive, there have been over 240 mass shootings in the U.S. this year, averaging more than one per day. This non-partisan group defines a mass shooting as one where four or more victims are wounded or killed.

The frequency of mass shootings has led to public outcry for stricter gun control. However, the federal government has struggled to enact significant changes.

This violence followed the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision earlier in June to overturn a federal ban on “bump stocks,” which can make semiautomatic gunfire like a machine gun.

Moreover, Joe Biden criticized the 6-3 ruling from the court’s conservative majority, calling for Congress to ban bump stocks, pass an assault weapon ban, and take further action to save lives.

Police have not disclosed the types of guns or accessories used in the recent shootings. Critics argue that the Supreme Court’s decision does not improve public safety.

For instance, in Rochester, New York, one person fired into a crowd during an argument at Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Park, injuring six people.

The victims included a 17-year-old boy, three men aged 18, 21, and 33, and two women aged 20 and 25. Police arrested a 38-year-old man, charging him with multiple offenses, including second-degree assault and resisting arrest.

In Montgomery, Alabama, police and medics responded to a shooting at around 1:45 a.m. at a party in the North Pass area, where over 600 shots were fired. Nine people were injured, including three children.

Afterward, at about 2:30 a.m. in downtown St. Louis, Missouri, a 26-year-old man was killed and at least five others were injured, one critically, during a shooting. Police believe the gunfire erupted after a fight among a group of women, later involving men and firearms.

Moreover, in Ohio, a manhunt is underway after a shooting at around 2:30 a.m. on North High Street left ten males, including two teenagers, injured. The victims, aged 16 to 27, included one in critical condition.
