(GoRealNewsNow.com) – Following Joe Biden’s displays of erratic energy boosts, Representative Ronny Jackson (R-TX) accused the Democrat of using “performance-enhancing drugs.”
Jackson said he would urge Biden to undergo drug tests before and after Thursday’s debate with former President Donald Trump.
Jackson, who previously served as Trump’s White House physician and medical adviser, said, “I’m going to be demanding on behalf of many millions of concerned Americans right now that [Biden] submit to a drug test before and after this debate, specifically looking for performance-enhancing drugs.”
“Because we see — we have seen recently in his State of the Union address — that there was a Joe Biden that came out that was not similar at all to what we see on a day-to-day basis for the last 3.5 years,” he added.
He asserted that there was no manner to explain his behavior other than he was on something and that they had given him medications.
Moreover, Democrats praised Biden’s State of the Union performance, noting the president appeared vibrant and energetic despite ongoing concerns about his age.
Jackson also mentioned he had previously sent five letters to the White House requesting Biden take a cognitive test similar to one he administered to Trump during his presidency.
The test, which Trump frequently boasted about acing, aims to detect signs of Alzheimer’s and other cognitive issues.
Additionally, the congressman speculated, again without evidence, that Biden is receiving medications while at Camp David this week.
“I feel like this is probably what’s going on over this week at Camp David,” Jackson said. “Part of that is probably experimenting with just getting the doses just right, because they have to treat his cognition.”
“They have to give him something to help him think straighter. They have to give him something to wake him up to — for his alertness,” he continued.
Jackson faced criticism during his tenure as Trump’s physician for allegedly overstating Trump’s health for political reasons.
In 2022, an Inspector General’s report led to Jackson being retroactively demoted from rear admiral to captain in the Navy. The report found Jackson had become intoxicated and mistreated subordinates during his tenure as physician to the president.
