(GoRealNewsNow.com) – Shaking the liberal political arena of Arizona, Republican Kari Lake is gaining significant traction in her campaign to seize the U.S. Senate seat presently occupied by independent Senator Kyrsten Sinema.

This development follows the endorsement of Congressman Jim Banks of Indiana, who chairs the House Republican Study Committee. Banks is the latest in a series of national figures to lend support to Lake’s campaign, which is shaping up to be a pivotal contest in the 2024 elections.

“I am proud to endorse Kari Lake for U.S. Senate in Arizona. Kari is exactly who we need in the Senate to secure the border, stand up to Hamas terrorists, rein in reckless spending, and protect the Second Amendment. She is an America First fighter who will shake up Washington D.C. and I look forward to working with her in the Senate,” stated Banks in a communication to Fox News Digital.

Expressing gratitude for the endorsement, Lake responded, “I am humbled to have the endorsement of Congressman Jim Banks. He is a proven conservative leader, promoting America First policies and standing up to Joe Biden. Jim and I will help flip the Senate red and get to work for the American people,” in her statement to Fox.

Lake, who came close to winning the gubernatorial race in Arizona last year, has gathered support over the past fortnight, with endorsements from notable figures such as Senator John Barrasso of Wyoming, Representative Burgess Owens of Utah, and Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton. These endorsements have been complemented by the support of various state and local leaders.

Moreover, former President Donald Trump threw his support behind Lake at the outset of her campaign last month.

The endorsements represent a rallying of Republican forces behind Lake, who has seemingly shifted focus from the disputed 2022 election to a new strategy.

In her campaign, Lake is set to primarily challenge the “radical” policies of her Democratic adversary, Representative Ruben Gallego from the Phoenix area, who is anticipated to secure his party’s nomination. She aims to spotlight Gallego’s alignment with the Biden administration, his stance on the Iran nuclear agreement, and his previous resistance to constructing a border wall.

The race for the Republican nomination sees Lake facing Pinal County Sheriff Mark Lamb as her principal opponent. Lamb has garnered support from the Latinos for America First PAC, a group that champions “conservative policies” and the election of “America First candidates.”
