(GoRealNewsNow.com) – Frequent criticizer and member of the far-left “Squad” group, Democrat Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (AOC) attacked GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump at the Democrat National Convention (DNC) in Chicago.
She offered a full-throated endorsement of Kamala Harris and outlined a sweeping progressive vision for the next administration.
“Chicago, we have to help [Kamala Harris] win because we know that Donald Trump would sell this country for a dollar if it meant lining his own pockets and greasing the palms of his Wall Street friends,” AOC said during her speech.
She added, “And I, for one, am tired of hearing about how a two-bit union buster thinks of himself as more of a patriot than the woman who fights every single day to lift working people out from under the boots of greed trampling on our way of life.”
Additionally, she compared her working-class background to Harris’ upbringing, arguing that the presidential nominee would work to help the middle class.
“Ever since I got elected, Republicans have attacked me by saying I should go back to bartending,” she said.
She continued, “But let me tell you, I’m happy to, any day of the week, because there is nothing wrong with working for a living. Imagine having leaders in the White House who understand that, leaders like Kamala and Tim.”
Additionally, Ocasio-Cortez argued that Trump cannot truly love the country if he only supports the wealthy and big business.
She underscored that to love America is to fight for its people, mentioning working people, everyday Americans like bartenders, factory workers, and fast-food cashiers who punch a clock and are on their feet all day in some of the toughest jobs.
