(GoRealNewsNow.com) – Leaving experts baffled and national security on edge, the Pentagon is grappling with reports of mysterious UFO ‘mother ships’ deploying drone swarms over sensitive U.S. military sites.

A retired senior Pentagon official indicated that UFO ‘mother ships’ have been spotted releasing smaller crafts over U.S. military bases.

A thorough examination of 50 pages of Air Force records revealed repeated ‘drone’ incursions around Langley Air Force Base, dubbed ‘Close Encounters at Langley.’

Throughout December, flashing lights from small UFOs were consistently seen over this critical base in Virginia for 17 nights.

These drones, some reaching 20-ft long, traveled over 100 mph and flew at altitudes of 3,000-4,000 feet.

The Pentagon’s efforts to counter these crafts with signal-jamming devices were futile as the drones appeared unconcerned with concealment.

Moreover, former Pentagon official Chris Mellon stated these events are part of a worrying pattern endangering national security installations.

Interestingly, these incursions have not been limited to Virginia. Similar activities have been reported in Palmdale, California, near Lockheed Martin’s ‘Skunk Works.’

Amidst ongoing investigations, the roots of these incursions remain elusive. Despite robust research efforts, including notable collaboration with NASA’s Langley Research Center and its WB-57F aircraft, the mystery deepens.

NASA also joined the investigative efforts as technical and bureaucratic challenges continue to stifle the deployment of effective countermeasures.

While some speculate these crafts might be drones from the Communist China, the sophisticated flight abilities make such an explanation seem unlikely to some experts.

These larger ‘motherships’ and the robustness of smaller crafts suggest technology beyond foreign espionage gadgets.

“There is a possibility that extraterrestrial motherships and smaller probes may be visiting planets in our solar system, the head of the Pentagon’s unidentified aerial phenomena research office noted in a report draft shared Tuesday,” the Military Times stated.

In addition, Director of the Pentagon’s All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO) Sean Kirkpatrick co-authored a research paper suggesting the possibility of extraterrestrial involvement.

The paper, titled “Physical Constraints on Unidentified Aerial Phenomena,” proposes that an artificial interstellar object could potentially deploy smaller probes to explore the Earth.

As these alarming incursions continue, U.S. Senators Marco Rubio and Kirsten Gillibrand have called for full funding of the AARO, emphasizing its crucial role in addressing these potential threats and increasing transparency.

The success of the efforts to understand and counter these mysterious craft will depend on robust funding and cooperation between the Department of Defense and the Intelligence Community.
