(GoRealNewsNow.com) – Walmart’s latest recall of Great Value chicken broth exposes yet another failure in America’s food safety system, as over 12,000 cartons are affected across nine states.
In early January, the FDA finally announced a recall initiated nearly a month earlier on December 11.
The recall affects 48-ounce family-sized Great Value chicken broth cartons distributed in Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Louisiana, Missouri, Mississippi, Oklahoma, Tennessee, and Texas.
Consumers are advised to check for products with a best-by date of March 25, 2026, Batch Lot code 98F09234, and UPC 007874206684.
The recall involves 2,023 cases, totaling 12,138 cartons. Those meeting these criteria should be destroyed or returned for a refund.

The reason for the recall is potential packaging failures that could compromise product sterility and lead to spoilage. This decision follows another Walmart recall involving mislabeled empanadas.
It seems the liberal agenda of cutting corners to maximize profits is putting American families at risk.
“The health and safety of our customers is always a top priority,” Walmart said in a statement.
It added, “As soon as we were made aware of the issue, we took action to remove all impacted products from … select, impacted stores. We are continuing to work with the supplier to investigate.”
While the company claims to prioritize customer safety, it is questionable why this information took nearly a month to reach the public.
Tree House Foods Inc. of Oak Brook, British Columbia, issued the recall on December 11, but the FDA did not announce it until January 8.
Additionally, this is not an isolated incident. Aldi recently recalled their Casa Mamita Chicken & Cheese Taquitos due to a risk of metal contamination.
Although the liberal media might downplay these incidents, consumers were advised to check their pantries, freezers, and refrigerators regularly for recalled items.
