VIDEO: This Is Why Trump Wants Fentanyl Stopped

Donald Trump

(GoRealNewsNow.com) – The reason why President Trump wants fentanyl stopped is because a Brooklyn shelter for families in need has become the site of a nightmare as a 4-year-old boy lies in critical condition after allegedly overdosing on fentanyl.

Watch the video below.

The child’s parents, who were taken into custody, allegedly exposed their own son to the lethal drug that continues to pour into American communities from Mexico.

The heartbreaking incident occurred at the Women In Need (WIN) shelter in East Flatbush, Brooklyn, where police responded to an emergency call only to find the young boy unresponsive.

Upon arrival, officers determined the child appeared to be overdosing on fentanyl. This synthetic opioid is 50 times more potent than heroin and has become the leading cause of death for Americans between 18 and 45.

Emergency medical services quickly administered Narcan, a life-saving medication that can reverse opioid overdoses, before rushing the boy to Maimonides Medical Center.

Despite these efforts, the child remains in critical condition as doctors fight to save his young life.

A man staying at the family shelter said, “He wasn’t moving when they brought him out. It looked like he was going to die.”

Both parents have been taken into custody following the discovery of drug paraphernalia in their shelter unit, which will undergo testing to confirm the presence of fentanyl.

While no charges have been filed yet, authorities are building their case as the investigation continues. Police and medical teams, including a hazmat unit, are still spending hours processing the scene.

This incident follows a recent high-profile case where a Bronx daycare owner was sentenced to 45 years in prison after a toddler died from fentanyl exposure at her facility.

That case drew national attention to the dangers posed by drug dealers and users who carelessly expose children to deadly substances that continue flowing across the southern border due to weak enforcement policies.

A spokesperson for the WIN shelter issued a statement saying:

“WIN is devastated that a child in one of our shelters has been hospitalized. We are working closely with the NYPD to support their ongoing investigation. We remain committed as ever to fostering a safe and supportive environment for all families that call a WIN shelter home.”

Moreover, law enforcement sources indicated that the parents were allegedly using fentanyl in their shelter unit, directly exposing their child to the deadly substance.

The case highlights the consequences of New York City’s permissive approach to drug use and homelessness, which has created dangerous environments for the most vulnerable citizens, including innocent children.

Under the Biden administration, fentanyl seizures at the southern border have reached record levels, yet countless shipments continue to make their way into American communities.

In contrast, during the Trump administration, border security was prioritized and construction of the border wall was aimed specifically at stemming the flow of deadly narcotics like fentanyl.

As this young boy fights for his life in a Brooklyn hospital, the incident serves as a stark reminder of how progressive policies that enable drug use and fail to secure the borders lead to real-world consequences for innocent American children.

The investigation remains ongoing, with potential criminal charges against the parents pending.
