(GoRealNewsNow.com) – A vast and unbelievably bright meteor ripping through the skies over several Southern States has scared Americans into thinking it could have been a Biblical “Armageddon” or a nuclear war attack.

The giant fireball was noticed by people over Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, and Florida earlier this month, with at least 50 sighting reports reaching the American Meteor Society, The Daily Mail reports.
According to eyewitness accounts, the massive bright falling object lit up the sky “like fireworks” in the six Southern states around 4:30 a.m. last Friday.
“It was still the size of a car when it went behind the trees,” said one witness from Gulfport, Mississippi, adding the “incredible” object flashed yellow, orange, blue, and green light.
Several dash and ring cameras filmed the falling meteor, with videos going viral on social media, with many joking it was an alien spacecraft.
“It was very clear and very vivid. I could see the heat coming off front circling around in a flame and trailing a trail of fire behind its path,” revealed a witness from Frankston, Texas.
The same person said other past sightings of “falling stars” had been “nothing like this.”
A witness from Cheneyville, Louisiana, claimed the meteor landed in fields nearby, but the exact landing site remains unknown.
“There wasn’t an explosion that I am aware of, but there was a flash, a flash that is a lot like fireworks going off that lights up everything for a brief moment,” the witness explained.
Another person who sighted the falling meteor in Alabama was brought to tears.
“I have never seen anything like it at all. This was no shooting star. This was something much bigger and outstanding. I cannot even describe the spectacle it was,” the witness is quoted as saying.
A resident of New Orleans explained how alarming the event felt as it seemed like the end of the world – either through a nuclear war or a Biblical Armageddon.
“The magnitude of what I saw had me bracing for a catastrophic event. I was driving on a freeway when it happened and found myself looking for a mushroom cloud or Armageddon,” the witness declared.
