(GoRealNewsNow.com) – President Donald Trump has commanded a potent military response against Iran-backed Houthi rebels in Yemen, affirming the necessity to protect U.S. interests and global maritime routes.
The powerful assault came after months of Houthi attacks on international shipping vessels, which have disrupted global trade and threatened American interests.
In a dramatic escalation, U.S. forces conducted massive airstrikes on Houthi strongholds in Yemen’s capital, Sanaa, and the northern city of Saada over the weekend.
The strikes targeted Iranian-backed Houthi rebel bases, missile defense systems, and multiple Houthi leaders.
The USS Harry S. Truman carrier strike group participated in the mission, demonstrating America’s overwhelming military superiority in the region.
The President made his intentions crystal clear when announcing the strikes, declaring that the Houthi rebels would face consequences unlike anything they have experienced before.
“Funded by Iran, the Houthi thugs have fired missiles at US aircraft, and targeted our Troops and Allies,” Trump stated forcefully, adding his most direct warning: “HELL WILL RAIN DOWN UPON YOU LIKE NOTHING YOU HAVE EVER SEEN BEFORE.”
The airstrikes follow months of Houthi aggression in vital shipping lanes. Since November 2023, the Iran-backed rebels have attacked over 100 merchant vessels in the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden, sinking two ships and seizing another.
These attacks forced major shipping companies to reroute around southern Africa, driving up costs for consumers worldwide and threatening global commerce.
“Our brave Warfighters are right now carrying out aerial attacks on the terrorists’ bases, leaders, and missile defenses to protect American shipping, air, and naval assets, and to restore Navigational Freedom,” Trump said in a social media post.
“No terrorist force will stop American commercial and naval vessels from freely sailing the Waterways of the World,” he remarked.
The Houthi-run health ministry reported 31 deaths and 101 injuries from the strikes, though these numbers cannot be independently verified.
While civilian casualties are regrettable, the responsibility lies squarely with the Houthi terrorists who place military assets in residential areas.
Despite the damage, Houthi representatives have vowed to continue their maritime attacks and threatened retaliation against American interests.

Trump’s national security team confirmed the operation’s success in neutralizing key Houthi leadership.
“This was an overwhelming response that actually targeted multiple Houthi leaders and took them out,” Trump national security adviser Michael Waltz stated.
U.S. officials indicated that the airstrikes would continue until the threat is eliminated, demonstrating America’s resolve to protect its interests abroad.
The operation marks a significant shift in U.S. foreign policy toward Iran and its proxies, returning to a strong stance against terrorist organizations that threaten American interests.
Unlike previous administrations that allowed Iran and its proxies to operate with impunity, President Trump has clearly demonstrated that attacks on American interests will be met with overwhelming force.
