(GoRealNewsNow.com) – Blasting the network for its clear bias toward Kamala Harris, Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump said ABC News should lose its broadcast license for how it handled his debate with the Democrat.
Trump called into “Fox & Friends” the morning after the debate and repeatedly slammed ABC for its fact-checking, claiming it was biased against him. At one point, he suggested the network should lose its broadcast license.
Trump stated, “A lot of people are very angry about it. You know, you have corrupt news organizations. You have a lot of bad people. It’s amazing,”
He continued, “I think ABC took a big hit last night. To be honest, they’re a news organization, they have to be licensed to do it. They ought to take away their license for the way they did that.”
Trump was particularly upset that the moderators did not challenge Harris on her portrayal of his comments about the 2017 violence in Charlottesville, Virginia, and how she described his claim that there would be a “bloodbath” if he loses in November.
Moreover, Republicans have been attacking the moderators, arguing that they focused too much on fact-checking Trump.
During the debate, Harris often tried to get under Trump’s skin, which seemed to work as he went off on tangents about crowd sizes, Joe Biden and a conspiracy about illegals abducting pets in an Ohio town.
A CNN rapid poll found that 63% of debate watchers thought Harris won, while 37% percent thought Trump did.
In turn, Trump pointed to several social media polls from Wednesday morning, including one from C-SPAN, which showed him performing better than Harris.
When asked if he would participate in another debate, Trump said he was “not inclined to.”
“I am not inclined to do it, because I won the debate by a lot,” he replied. “But I think we let it settle and let’s see what happens.”
Furthermore, Fox News contacted both campaigns, offering to host a debate on one of three dates in October in a swing state.
However, Trump indicated he would not attend if Martha MacCallum and Bret Baier, who have hosted previous presidential debates, moderated it.
