(GoRealNewsNow.com) – President-elect Donald Trump is set to restore clarity to America’s immigration debate as his administration plans to reinstate the term “illegal alien,” abandoning the Biden-era polite term “undocumented noncitizen.”
According to reports, Trump’s transition team is actively discussing the reintroduction of “illegal aliens” in official government language.
This change would reverse the Biden administration’s April 2021 directive that replaced clear, legally accurate terms with vague, politically correct alternatives like “noncitizen” and “migrant.”
John Fabbricatore, a potential candidate to lead Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) under Trump, strongly supports this return to precision in language.
“What is wrong with illegal alien? It connotes no race, religion, or culture. It is a purely legal term that was hijacked in an Orwellian attempt to control the messaging about illegal immigration,” he stated.
Meanwhile, the Biden-Harris administration’s attempt to soften language around illegal immigration has faced significant pushback.
Rodney Scott, former head of the U.S. Border Patrol, openly resisted the change, recognizing it as an attempt to downplay the seriousness of illegal entry into the country.
Similarly, Democrat representatives agree with this decision even though they manage liberal agendas.
Representative Henry Cuellar (D-TX) stated, “I can understand some people are trying to be a little bit more politically correct, but if you look at what the statutes say, they do use the word ‘alien.’”
“That’s what the statute does, so, until the statute changes, some of us will continue to be using the word ‘alien’ on that. That is the word that’s in the statute until we change that,” he added.
While progressive Democrats have pushed legislation to ban the term “alien” in federal language, their efforts have stalled in Congress.
The debate over immigration terminology reached a boiling point during Biden’s State of the Union address.
His use of softer language was met with vocal opposition from patriotic lawmakers who understand the importance of calling things what they are.
Trump’s commitment to reinstating “illegal aliens” is more than just a term change. It represents a broader shift back towards an immigration policy that prioritizes American citizens, upholds the rule of law, and secures the borders.
As America faces unprecedented levels of illegal border crossings, the return to straightforward terminology is a crucial step in mobilizing resources and public support to combat this national security threat.
