(GoRealNewsNow.com) – BREAKING NEWS NOW: It is just now coming to light that a condo owned by a Russian shell company at Trump Towers III in Florida has been raided by the Federal Bureau of Investigation along with local police.
As multiple news agencies are now reporting, including the Miami Herald and the Daily Beast, on Thursday, the luxurious high-rise Trump Tower III complex was raided by a team of FBI special agents and local police. Specifically, they searched unit 4102 of Trump Tower III, located at 15811 Collins Ave. on Sunny Isles Beach.
According to state records, that unit is owned by a shell company, MIC-USA LLC, controlled by two Russian businessmen, Oleg Sergeyevich Patsulya and Agunda Konstantinovna Makeeva.
On Friday, an FBI’s Miami field office spokesman said they “were conducting court-ordered law enforcement activity in the vicinity of that location” but did not provide further details.
Patsulya and Makeeva could not be reached for comment. Patsulya’s wife, Roza Pereira, who is also listed on the corporate documents for MIC-USA, said she was aware of the FBI raid.
“I can’t talk about it,” Pereira told the Miami Herald. “The lawyer [for my husband] said not to talk to anyone. … I have no idea what it’s about.”
Sunny Isles Beach has been nicknamed “Little Moscow” by locals due to the large number of Russian expatriates living there.
Some residents have been worried about a potential backlash against their wealthy beachfront community following last year’s Russian invasion of Ukraine and the US government’s pursuit of sanctions against oligarchs hiding their wealth in real estate in South Florida and other parts of the country.
Before becoming president in 2016, Trump signed a deal with the developers of the 45-story condominium buildings, allowing them to use his name to help promote sales. Foreign buyers, particularly from Latin America and Russia, were attracted to Trump Towers and other Trump-branded properties in Sunny Isles Beach.
According to Miami-Dade property records, one of these buyers was MIC-USA, which purchased the three-bedroom, three-bathroom condo at Trump Tower III for $1.65 million ten years ago.
In 2020, BAC Florida Bank, which provided financing for the purchase, sued Patsulya and Makeeva for allegedly defaulting on their $975,000 mortgage. The dispute was resolved later that year, although the details are unclear from court records.
MIC-USA, controlled by the two Russians, continues to own the 41st-floor unit at Trump Tower III.
