(GoRealNewsNow.com) – In a stunning development, former President Donald Trump has scored a legal victory against porn star Stormy Daniels just hours after he was arraigned in a New York City court over claims that in 2016, his campaign paid her hush money so she wouldn’t disclose an alleged 2006 affair the two of them had.
On Tuesday, Trump appeared in the Manhattan courtroom and pleaded not guilty to 34 charges of “falsifying financial records” over the alleged $130,000 bribe to Daniels.
However, this week, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals ordered the porn star to pay the former president more than $120,000.
The sum is compensation for legal fees, whose precise figure is $121,972, from a failed 2018 defamation lawsuit that Daniels filed against Trump.
The former president and current presidential candidate announced his victory against Daniels in a post on Truth Social.
“Alvin Bragg shut down New York City, brought in 38,000 NYPD officers, and will spend an estimated $200,000,000 of NYC funds, for a totally legal $130,000 NDA,” Trump wrote.
“On top of all that, the 9th Circuit Court just awarded me $122,000 — over the $500,000 already awarded, from Stormy ‘Horseface’ Daniels!” he added.
Daniels has alleged that in 2011 she gave an interview to In Touch magazine, revealing she and Trump had an affair in 2006. However, the interview was never published.
In her claims, she was approached by an unknown man who threatened her and her daughter after the interview.
“Leave Trump alone. Forget the story… That’s a beautiful little girl. It’d be a shame if something happened to her mom,” the man said, according to Daniels, as cited by The New York Post.
In 2018, Trump accused her of lying about the threats by a “nonexistent man” and said her allegations were “a total con job.” The porn star reacted by suing him.
According to court documents, the Ninth Circuit has now ruled that the fees that Trump’s demanded by Trump were “reasonable.”
Daniels was already ordered to pay about $300,000 to Trump when her defamation lawsuit was dismissed.
Donald Trump Jr., the former president’s eldest son, also commented on the new ruling in his father’s favor.
“BREAKING!!! the 9th Circuit just awarded Trump $121,962.56 in attorney fees from Stormy Daniels. Order just released. This in addition to the roughly $500k she already owes him,” Don Jr. wrote in a tweet.
“LOL glad she’s out there saying her T-shirt sales are booming she’ll be able to afford to pay Trump!” he added.
Trump’s lawyer, Harmeet Dhillon, posted on Twitter her congratulations to him.
“Congratulations to President Trump on this final attorney fee victory in his favor this morning,” Dhillon said.
“Collectively, our firm obtained over $600,000 in attorney fee awards in his favor in the meritless litigation initiated by Stormy Daniels,” she added.
Last year, after a federal appeals court upheld the ruling that she must pay the former president $300,000 in legal fees, Daniels declared she would never give Trump any money.
“I will go to jail before I pay a penny,” Daniels declared.
