NOW: Trump Attacks Biden’s ‘Weaponization’ of Justice System

(GoRealNewsNow.com) – Former President Donald Trump, seeking the presidency again,  criticized “The Biden regime’s weaponization of our justice system” in Waco, Texas, on Saturday. He gave a long and forceful speech as he possibly faces charges from a Manhattan grand jury.

“For seven years, you and I have been fighting the corrupt, rotten, sinister forces trying to destroy America,” Trump said at his first public rally for the 2024 presidential campaign. He wore his usual blue suit but not his red tie.

“The Biden regime’s weaponization of our justice system is straight out of the Stalinist Russia horror show,” he said.

Trump called Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s efforts to charge him “prosecutorial misconduct.” He said, “The innocence of people makes no difference to these radical left maniacs.”

“They have nothing!” Trump exclaimed about Bragg’s investigation, adding that the DA filled his office with people from Washington, D.C., to make sure Trump was “taken care of.”

Referring to adult film star Stormy Daniels, who claimed they had a past sexual encounter, Trump said, “I never even liked horseface.” He added, “There is no one, we have a great First Lady,” praising his wife, Melania Trump.

Trump’s airplane circled the airfield as the crowd listened to a version of “The Star-Spangled Banner” sung by jailed January 6 rioters before he took the stage.

“All the hatred, rage, and contempt the radical left has for you and your values has been directed to me,” he said. “And the only way to stop these people is to send us back to the White House in 2024.”

About 15,000 people were expected to attend the outdoor rally at Waco Regional Airport.

Musician Ted Nugent started the event with a two-minute rendition of the national anthem on electric guitar.

Many top Texas Republicans, including Governor Greg Abbott and Senators Ted Cruz and John Cornyn, did not attend the event. Instead, Trump supporters like Florida Representative Matt Gaetz and Georgia Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene warmed up the crowd.

“This is Donald Trump’s party,” Gaetz said, “and I’m a Donald Trump Republican.”

The rally took place 15 miles from the site of the Mount Carmel Center, where 76 members of the Branch Davidian cult died after a 51-day FBI siege in 1993.

According to the Department of Homeland Security, Trump’s visit came three weeks before the 30th anniversary of the tragedy that led to the rise of the modern-day militia movement.

Texas Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick told the crowd it was “fake news” that Trump was visiting Waco because of the event’s anniversary.

“I picked Waco,” Patrick said, “because the president called me and said, ‘I want you to pick a great town.’”

Trump brushed off criticism about his choice of a rally site, saying, “We’re going to have a great time in Waco.”
