NEWS NOW: Biden Kills 19; GOP Says That’s Not Good Enough

(GoRealNewsNow.com) – American airstrikes authorized by President Joe Biden as Commander in Chief of US Armed Forces killed 19 fighters in eastern Syria this week, a UK-based group reported on Saturday. This happened after an Iranian drone attack killed a US contractor and injured five American soldiers.

The US targeted locations connected to Iran’s Revolutionary Guard Corps on Thursday in response to the attack. According to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, the strikes killed three Syrian soldiers, 11 pro-government militia members, and five non-Syrian fighters.

American F-15 fighter jets carried out the “precision airstrikes,” which led to Iran-supported militants firing ten missiles on Friday. These missiles barely missed a US base in northeast Syria, but hit a civilian house, hurting two women and two children, said US Central Command.

This two-day event was among the deadliest exchanges between American and Iran-aligned forces in recent years. Since 2021, when President Joe Biden took office, Iranian proxies have carried out at least 78 drone or rocket attacks against US troops in the Middle East.

“The United States does not — does not, I emphasize — seek conflict with Iran,” Biden said on Friday during a press conference in Canada. “But be prepared for us to act forcefully to protect our people.”

However, some Republicans criticized Biden’s response to Iran-backed aggression as weak.

“The Biden admin’s continued doctrine of appeasement has cost American lives and emboldened our adversaries,” Iowa Senator Joni Ernst said in a tweet.

What is your opinion? Do you think Biden has had a “doctrine of appeasement that has cost American lives and emboldened our adversaries,” as Senator Joni Ernst stated? Please share your thoughts and views by emailing [email protected]. Thank you.
