(GoRealNewsNow.com) – Court documents have revealed that the mother of the late Brian Laundrie, who in 2021 killed his girlfriend, Gabby Petito, had written him a letter offering to help bury her body.
The letter was found in Brian’s backpack, in an envelope labeled “burn after reading,” Breaking911 reports.
In it, Laundrie’s mother dwells on her love for her son, but it also makes it clear that she was prepared to give him garbage bags and a shovel if he ever had to get rid of a corpse.
“I just want you to remember I will always Love you, and I know you will always Love me. You are my boy. Nothing can make me stop loving you. Nothing will or could ever divide us: no matter what we do, or where we go or what we say — we will always Love each other,” the perpetrator’s mother writes in her letter.
“If you’re in jail, I will bake a cake with a file in it. If you need to dispose of a body, I will bring show up with a shovel and garbage bags. If you fly to the moon, I will be watching the skies for your re-entry. If you say you hate my guts, I’ll get new guts,” she elaborates.
The letter by Laundrie’s mother was released to Gabby Petito’s parents after a judge in Florida rejected a request by the man’s parents to keep it private.
Petito’s family already sued Laundrie’s parents in March 2022, together their former lawyer, for causing them emotional distress over the case.
A civil trial scheduled for 2024 will further the legal battle between the two families.
22-year-old Gabby Petito went missing in the summer of 2021 during a cross-country trip with Brain Laundrie, her fiancé.
Her remains were found in Wyoming on September 19, 2021, with an autopsy showing she was strangled to death.
23-year-old Brian Laundry’s body in a Florida nature preserve close to his parent’s home. He committed suicide with a gunshot, according to the FBI.
A note in his diary found beside his remains revealed that he had killed his girlfriend.
