MANHUNT: Cop Murdered In Patrol Car

( – BREAKING NOW: A Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department deputy lost his life in a fatal ambush while in his patrol vehicle. The tragedy occurred just four days after he had gotten engaged, according to authorities.

30-year-old Deputy Ryan Clinkunbroomer was found unconscious near the Palmdale sheriff’s station, as reported by Los Angeles County Sheriff Robert Luna during a press briefing.

After being found, Clinkunbroomer was transported almost 10 miles to Antelope Valley Medical Center in Lancaster. Despite being alive initially, he eventually passed away from his injuries.

Sheriff Luna commented on the motive: “I’m assuming at this point because he was in uniform. That, to me, is sickening.”

As of now, the assailant is still on the run.

Sheriff Luna assured, “We’re gonna catch the person who did this. Every resource that the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department has to bear is going after you.”

To investigate the tragic and unprovoked incident, authorities have cordoned off a significant area surrounding the Palmdale station, about 60 miles northeast of Downtown Los Angeles.

Sheriff Luna revealed that investigators are scrutinizing a video that shows a car slowly approaching a Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department vehicle at the time of the fatal shooting. In a separate review, Fox News reporter Bill Melugin indicated that security footage showed a black car pulling up next to the deputy, who was stopped at a red light close to the station. Moments after, the black car quickly drove away while the deputy’s vehicle gradually moved forward before halting.

In a plea for public assistance, Luna interrupted his press conference remarks, saying, “We really need your help. We need to get this guy off the street. Guy or guys. He’s a public safety threat. He ambushed and killed one of our deputies.”

Sheriff Luna remarked on the legacy of service in Clinkunbroomer’s family, noting, “Just about everybody worked with his father. We’re hurting because we lost somebody. It always hurts.”

He added, “They try to prepare you for this, and no matter how much they do, it hurts bad.”
