(GoRealNewsNow.com) – In a blatant attack on the First Amendment and American values, ultra-liberal Democrat Hillary Clinton wants to push the government to control social media platforms.
The former Secretary of State’s recent comments revealed a chilling agenda to silence conservative voices and manipulate online discourse.
During an appearance on CNN’s “Smerconish,” Clinton made the alarming statement that without increased regulation of social media, “we lose total control.”
Clinton’s call for national regulation goes far beyond existing state-level efforts. She is advocating for sweeping federal powers to monitor and censor online content, effectively creating a Ministry of Truth to decide what information Americans can access.
However, the former First Lady did not stop there. She launched a scathing attack on Congress, accusing them of being “dysfunctional” in addressing alleged threats posed by social media.
This thinly veiled criticism appears to be aimed at conservative lawmakers who have rightfully resisted attempts to erode First Amendment protections online.
“We need national action and sadly, our Congress has been dysfunctional when it comes to addressing these threats to our children,” Clinton stated.
Perhaps most concerning is Clinton’s call to repeal Section 230 of the Communications Act. This crucial legislation provides immunity to online platforms from liability for third-party content.
By targeting Section 230, Clinton is essentially advocating for a system where Big Tech companies would be forced to censor content or face legal consequences.
“We should be, in my view, repealing something called Section 230, which gave, you know, platforms on the internet immunity because they were thought to be just pass-throughs, that they shouldn’t be judged for the content that is posted,” she said.
Moreover, Clinton’s agenda does not stop at social media. She is also pushing for restrictions on cellphone use in schools, a move that smacks of government overreach into local education policies.
While presented under the guise of improving student attention, it is hard not to see this as another attempt to control information flow and limit students’ access to diverse perspectives.
Still, not everyone is falling for Clinton’s authoritarian playbook.
Former Democrat presidential candidate Tulsi Gabbard has rightfully called out Clinton’s remarks, accusing her of opposing free speech and seeking “total control.”
Gabbard astutely linked Clinton’s stance to that of Kamala Harris, suggesting a broader Democrat agenda to undermine the First Amendment.
As Clinton promotes her new book, “Something Lost and Something Gained,” which conveniently discusses the alleged negative impact of social media on children’s mental health, Americans doubt it.
In addition, Clinton’s latest crusade against free speech on social media is nothing more than a thinly veiled attempt to silence conservative voices and cement leftist control over the digital public square.
