GOP Sen.: Let Them ‘Cut Their Own Throats’

( – GOP Senator Tommy Tuberville (R-AL) said that Republicans will step aside and let Democrats “cut their own throats” to handle the 2024 White House race after Joe Biden’s shaky and alarming debate performance.

The senator shared his thoughts on “Sunday Morning Futures” when Fox News host Maria Bartiromo asked him who might run if Biden drops out and Kamala Harris ends up leading the ticket against former President Donald Trump.

“I don’t know who they’d pick,” Tuberville replied. “We’re just going to stay out of their way and let them cut their own throats, to be honest with you. It’s a disaster.”

Bartiromo mentioned that Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) would be having a call with top House Democrats to discuss Biden and the 2024 race. She then asked Tuberville about Biden’s crisis of confidence in his party.

“This has been a disgrace. It’s been a disgrace for 3.5 years,” Tuberville replied. “We have been talking to our Democratic colleagues in the Senate. They know what’s going on. Mainstream media has hid all this.”

“Now they’re panicking and wondering what they’re going to do. They put the early debate just in case this happened. Well, it did happen,” he added.

The senator emphasized that Biden’s mental acuity is so deteriorated that he does not know what day it is. He also stated that Joe Biden is sick and nobody can help that.

Tuberville added, “Kamala Harris will probably be the candidate running against Donald Trump. That will be very interesting.”

Bartiromo then asked Tuberville about Senate discussions on Biden’s mental fitness but the senator argued Biden is no longer in charge.

Moreover, Tuberville asserted that Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY), House Speaker Emerita Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), and former President Barack Obama have been “running the country,” along with Secretary of State Antony Blinken and National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan.

“Joe Biden hasn’t been making decisions. He might have [in the] first year had some say so about what’s going on, but he’s been out of it since after the first year in office. And you can tell by Schumer’s actions, Pelosi’s actions the first two years. They were calling the shots,” Tuberville concluded.
