(GoRealNewsNow.com) – Once the queen of daytime talk Wendy Williams has fallen victim to the ravages of dementia, leaving her “permanently incapacitated” and unable to protect herself from exploitation.
This shocking revelation comes as her court-appointed guardian battles against liberal media vultures who sought to profit from Williams’ decline.
Sabrina Morrissey, Williams’ guardian, has filed a bombshell lawsuit exposing the depths of the former talk show host’s cognitive impairment.
According to court documents, Williams was diagnosed with primary aggressive aphasia and frontotemporal dementia in May 2023, rendering her unable to make decisions for herself.
The lawsuit targets A&E Networks and its subsidiary Lifetime for their exploitative documentary “Where Is Wendy Williams?”
Released in February, the series allegedly took advantage of Williams’ vulnerable state, filming her without proper consent and portraying her in an unfavorable light.
“[The defendants] cruelly took advantage of [Williams’] cognitive and physical decline by creating and publishing a documentary at a time when [Williams] was highly vulnerable and clearly incapable of consenting to be filmed,” Morrissey stated in the court filing.
“None of the defendants ever gained the guardian’s consent for [Williams’] participation to be filmed, and the guardian did not learn of the talent agreement until March 2023, seven months after the start of filming,” Morrissey’s lawyer stated.
While Williams was paid a mere $82,000 for her involvement, the producers likely raked in millions from her misfortune.
Moreover, Williams’ family has been left in the dark, with limited access to see her. Her sister, Wanda Finnie, expressed frustration with the current guardianship system, questioning its effectiveness compared to family care.
“How is that system better than the system the family could put in place? I don’t know. I do know that this system is broken,” Finnie stated.
Both Morrissey and the defendants have requested a trial, potentially deepening the story of Williams’ challenging journey.
The trial is anticipated to last two to four weeks, bringing the much-needed verdict and closure to those who champion Williams’ cause.
