(GoRealNewsNow.com) – Joe Biden has a secret plan to quickly release into the US interior most illegal aliens who will arrive after the expiration of the Title 42 expulsion policy on Thursday, according to a report.
The Trump-era policy known as Title 42 allows US Border Patrol officers to remove illegal migrants from some countries without considering their asylum requests.
The quick expulsion is based on public health grounds. At least 2.7 million border jumpers have been deported under it.
The Trump administration adopted the policy in March 2020 at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic.
US Department of Homeland Security (DHS) estimates forecast that once Title 42 expires on May 11, the daily number of migrants invading the Southern Border would more than double from 6,000 to 13,000.
An internal memo of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) obtained by The Daily Caller has revealed that federal authorities are ordered “to quickly release illegal immigrants who are found to have credible” asylum claims.
ICE and CBP (Customs and Border Protection) are DHS agencies, but unlike the latter, the former handles the border area and the entire US interior.
The leaked ICE memo instructs ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) personnel to release illegal immigrants to clear bed space in detention facilities for the expected surge after Title 42 expires.
“[ERO should begin] increasing available bedspace by rapidly releasing noncitizens who received positive credible fear determinations and focusing detention efforts on noncitizens who are subject to mandatory detention,” the memo reads.
According to former ICE Chief of Staff Jon Freere, the agency is unprepared as it already has “underfunded bed space.”
“This administration should have been building bed space for the last two years. Instead, they’ve chosen to reduce bed space and are now going to be releasing illegal aliens into the US to temporarily accommodate new illegal aliens arriving into the US,” the former senior ICE official said.
“But because of the sheer numbers, those individuals will undoubtedly be released soon as well,” said Feere, now the director of investigations at the Center for Immigration Studies, an anti-immigration nonprofit.
The report notes the Biden administration has been seeking to prepare for the post-Title 42 migrant surge by giving illegal aliens more pathways to apply for asylum – including through a smartphone app and processing centers in Latin America.
In recent weeks, ICE has had 25,000 and 28,000 illegal immigrants in custody.
More than 6 million illegal aliens have entered the US since Joe Biden took over the White House in January 2021. Those include close to 2 million gotaways who were even apprehended.
“If this administration wanted to stop illegal immigration, they’d be detaining larger numbers of people for the entirety of their immigration cases,” Feere said.
