(GoRealNewsNow.com) – BREAKING NEWS: Just over a week after a second assassination attempt against GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump, shots were fired at Kamala Harris’ campaign office in Arizona.
According to the Tempe Police Department, several bullets hit the Democrat National Committee (DNC) office near Southern Avenue and Priest Drive in Tempe sometime after midnight.
“No one was inside the office during the overnight hours, but this raises concerns about the safety of those who work in that building, as well as those nearby,” said public information officer Sergeant Ryan Cook.
Authorities confirmed that detectives are examining evidence from the scene and that security has increased for staff and others in the area.
Moreover, staff arrived at the office Monday morning and reported what appeared to be gunshots through the front windows.
This is the second time in two weeks that the office has been targeted. On September 16, the front windows were damaged by what appeared to be a BB or pellet gun.
Even though no arrests have been made in either incident, authorities are still investigating motives.
The shooting follows the second attempt on Trump’s life at his West Palm Beach golf course on September 15.
The would-be assassin, 58-year-old Hawaii resident Ryan Routh, was spotted by a Secret Service agent with a semiautomatic rifle near the sixth hole. The agent fired before Routh could take a shot.
Routh dropped the rifle and fled in an SUV but was arrested 40 minutes later.
Meanwhile, Harris is set to visit Arizona this week for a campaign event.
This will be her second trip to the swing state since being nominated at the Democrat National Convention in August.
Polls show Harris and Trump running neck and neck in Arizona with six weeks to go before Election Day.
Trump won Arizona in 2016, but Joe Biden flipped the state in 2020, winning by less than 11,000 votes—the narrowest margin in the country that year.
