BREAKING NOW: Huge COVID-19 News Development

(GoRealNewsNow.com) – BREAKING NOW: The U.S. House of Representatives has unanimously voted to declassify information that could shed light on any links between the Wuhan Institute of Virology and the Covid-19 pandemic.

The bill has now been sent to President Joe Biden for approval.

This move by the House of Representatives follows the Senate’s unanimous vote earlier this month to have the Director of National Intelligence, Avril Haines, declassify the information.

The Covid-19 pandemic first emerged in Wuhan, China, in 2019, but the exact origins of the virus are still unknown. Scientists have been divided on whether the virus originated from an infected animal that transmitted it to humans or if it escaped from a laboratory in Wuhan.

The drive by Congress to declassify information about the origins of Covid-19 comes after the Energy Department, one of the 18 U.S. intelligence agencies, concluded with “low confidence” that the virus probably escaped from a lab in Wuhan as a result of an accident.

According to FBI Director Christopher Wray, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has reached a similar conclusion. Wray stated that the Chinese government has been doing its best to hinder and obscure the investigation, which is unfortunate for everyone.

Biden ordered the intelligence community to provide an updated analysis of the pandemic’s origin in 2021. The intelligence agencies were split on how the virus started spreading among humans, but they agreed that both a natural origin and a lab leak were plausible.

Four of the unnamed agencies in the report reached low-confidence assessments that the virus was transmitted from an infected animal to humans. The intelligence community also agreed that Covid-19 was not developed as a biological weapon, and most agencies determined that the virus was not genetically engineered.

The Central Intelligence Agency and another unnamed agency are still uncertain about the virus’s origin, as The Wall Street Journal reported.

White House National Security Advisor, Jake Sullivan, confirmed that the intelligence community still has no definitive answer to this question. Biden has requested that national labs under the Energy Department participate in the intelligence review of the pandemic’s origin.

Dr. Anthony Fauci and Dr. Francis Collins, the former heads of the National Institute for Allergy and Infectious Diseases and the National Institutes of Health, respectively, have maintained that Covid-19 likely spread from an infected animal to humans. However, three years after the pandemic began, the animal that may have caused the spread has still not been identified.

House Republicans have called on Fauci, Collins, and other former and current health officials to testify on the pandemic’s origin.

China has denied that the virus escaped from a lab, pointing to a World Health Organization (WHO) report published in March 2021 that stated a laboratory origin was considered extremely unlikely.

However, the U.S. and 12 other countries criticized the WHO report, as the experts who wrote it lacked access to complete, original data and samples. WHO Director Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus has called for both China and the U.S. to be transparent in sharing information and conducting necessary investigations to determine the virus’s origin.
