BREAKING: National Guard Activated

(GoRealNewsNow.com) – HAPPENING NOW: The governors of three Republican-led states – Virginia, West Virginia, and South Carolina – have activated and sent National Guard troops to the Southern Border because of the illegal alien invasion.

At least five other GOP-led states had already sent state troopers or law enforcement personnel to the border with Mexico, aiding, in particular, Texas’ efforts to tackle illegal immigration.

Virginia’s Governor Glenn Youngkin announced in a statement on Wednesday an executive order to deploy 100 National Guard troops to the Southern Border in Texas, together with 21 support personnel.

The Republican governors of South Carolina and West Virginia – Henry McMaster and Jim Justice – followed him with similar announcements, Yahoo News reports.

They noted they were taking action in response to an aid request by their Texas counterpart Greg Abbott.

“The ongoing border crisis facing our nation has turned every state into a border state,” Youngkin said in his statement.

“As leadership solutions at the federal level fall short, states are answering the call to secure our southern border, reduce the flow of fentanyl, combat human trafficking and address the humanitarian crisis,” he elaborated.

Over 6 million border jumpers have invaded the US on President Joe Biden’s watch, including nearly 2 million gotaways who weren’t even apprehended.

In early May, Biden announced the deployment of 1,500 US Army troops on top of 2,500 National Guard troops already at the border.

The White House said the new federal deployment would relieve US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) with administrative duties.

Texas Governor Abbott reacted by stating at least 100 times that many troops were needed to cope with the illegal immigrant influx.

Operation Lone Star, which Abbott launched in 2021 to secure the Texas section of the US-Mexican border, is separate from the troops aiding CBP.

Earlier this month, the Texas governor asked other states for help through the Emergency Management Assistance Compact.

Virginia’s state troopers would be on a 30-day deployment under a military commander in a mission costing $3.1 million.

West Virginia is preparing to dispatch 50 National Guard soldiers for 30 days, while South Carolina didn’t announce numbers.

Florida sent Texas 800 troopers and some 300 additional personnel, while Tennessee contributed 100 troops.
