A Sunday statement from the New Hampshire Attorney General’s Office revealed that the medical examiner found the cause of 41-year-old Alexander Talcott’s death to be a stab wound to the neck, concluding that his death was a homicide.
It has been confirmed by a representative from the attorney general’s office that Talcott had affiliations with the GOP, serving as an activist and attorney.
The state director for the New Hampshire segment of the Republican National Lawyers Association (RNLA), William O’Brien, expressed to NBC10 Boston that Talcott was “a staunch advocate for the core values of the Republican Party.”

Talcott’s residence on Bennett Road was the scene of the discovery of his body early on Saturday. At the time, numerous police vehicles were present, with the attorney general’s office investigating the suspicious death of a male at the location.
Only on Sunday was Talcott’s identity made public. By then, officials confirmed that all individuals linked to the incident were known, ensuring no threat to the community.
There’s ongoing speculation around whether the person responsible for Talcott’s stabbing may have done so in self-defense. The identity of this person remains undisclosed.
