BREAKING: Deadly Plane Crash

(GoRealNewsNow.com) – BREAKING NOW: Just before 4 p.m., authorities from Hickory, North Carolina, confirmed that a plane crash on Sunday morning resulted in two fatalities.

The identities of the deceased have not been disclosed.

Various agencies are currently at the crash site, and the FAA will initiate an inquiry.

According to firefighters, the airplane collided with high-tension power lines, leading to extensive power disruptions north of Hickory’s downtown area.

Response teams from Alexander, Caldwell, and Catawba counties are on site, as confirmed by officials.

Duke Energy indicated that over 18,000 of their customers faced power outages in the vicinity when the incident occurred.

Duke Energy commented on the situation, stating:

“After the incident, approximately 18,000 customers were without power due to the downed transmission lines. Our crews were able to switch customers to other lines and by 1:30 p.m. all customers have been restored.”
