(GoRealNewsNow.com) – BREAKING NEWS: New York City’s failed liberal policies have unleashed a deadly menace on its streets as a homeless criminal with a history of felonies and mental health issues went on a stabbing rampage, killing three innocent victims in broad daylight.
51-year-old Ramon Rivera, a homeless man with eight prior arrests, including seven felonies, committed three unprovoked fatal stabbings across Manhattan.
The victims, including a 36-year-old construction worker, a 67-year-old Asian man, and a 36-year-old woman, were randomly targeted in separate attacks spanning from Chelsea to the East River.
Rivera, who was recently released from Rikers Island and lived in a homeless shelter, has been charged with three counts of first-degree murder.
The first attack occurred during the morning on 19th Street, where Rivera allegedly stabbed the construction worker to death.
Two hours later, he struck again on East 30th Street, killing the Asian man who was fishing. The final attack took place near the United Nations, where he brutally stabbed the woman.
Moreover, a vigilant cab driver witnessed the third attack and promptly alerted the police, leading to Rivera’s swift arrest.
At the time of apprehension, Rivera was found in possession of two blood-covered kitchen knives and offered no resistance.
Mayor Eric Adams condemned this act, saying:
“Three innocent New Yorkers who [were] going about their lives were the victims of a terrible, terrible assault. It is a clear, clear example of a criminal justice system and a mental health system that continues to fail New Yorkers, and it is troubling that we are standing here today, in a day that brings a great level of difficulty to the city.”
“Three New Yorkers, unprovoked attacks that left us searching for answers on how something like this could happen,” he continued.
Even Democrat Mayor Adams was forced to acknowledge the glaring failures of the city’s liberal policies. He also criticized the criminal justice and mental health systems for failing to prevent such incidents.
“There’s a real question as to why he was on the street,” he remarked.
The suspect’s criminal history is alarming. Rivera has a record of arrests for burglary, assault, and grand larceny, along with documented mental health episodes.
Yet, he was still able to carry out this horrific attack, armed with two blood-covered kitchen knives when apprehended.
“There’s some real questions that we need to look at on why he was on the street, and he has some severe mental health issues that should have been examined, and that’s what we’re looking to spot in the investigation,” Mayor Adams added.
