House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer has issued a subpoena to Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas.
The subpoena demands the release of intelligence reports, documents and communications related to Walz’s CCP connections, signaling the gravity of the situation.
“The Committee has recently received whistleblower disclosures informing the Committee of serious concern among Department of Homeland personnel regarding a longstanding connection between the CCP and Minnesota Governor Timothy James Walz,” Comer wrote.
The investigation stems from alarming revelations about a non-classified Microsoft Teams group chat among DHS employees titled “NST NFT Bi-Weekly Sync.”
This chat reportedly contains crucial information about Walz that is central to the Committee’s investigation. Furthermore, additional relevant information regarding Walz has been documented in both classified and unclassified DHS documents.
Chairman Comer’s probe into Walz’s China connections began in August, long before Walz was tapped as a potential running mate for Democrat presidential candidate Kamala Harris.
Meanwhile, the investigation aims to expose the extent of the CCP’s infiltration and influence campaign in the United States, with a focus on how the communist regime targets prominent Americans for “elite capture.”
Walz’s history with China is raising eyebrows, as reports indicate that he organized a China trip for students in the 1990s, funded by the Chinese government.
Comer is also investigating Walz’s company, “Educational Travel Adventures, Inc.,” which coordinated student trips to China until 2003.
Perhaps most alarming is the claim that Walz has allegedly traveled to China around 30 times, suggesting a deep and potentially compromising relationship with the communist nation.
“Why are there so many left-wing lawmakers affiliated to the CCP?” Representative Nancy Mace (R-SC) said.
Conservative commentators and politicians are also sounding the alarm.
Alex Bruesewitz, a conservative political consultant, stated, “Tim Walz is now likely lying about lying! A lot of information has come out regarding Walz’s close ties to the CCP, he is now trying to downplay it…”
