(GoRealNewsNow.com) – As the events of January 6, 2021, continue to cast a long shadow over America’s political landscape, new revelations show that there were 26 FBI informants present on that day, fueling the ongoing debate about transparency and accountability within federal operations.

This is a critical moment to examine the facts and dispel myths around what truly transpired.
According to a Department of Justice watchdog investigation, there is no evidence that undercover FBI agents participated in the Capitol attack on January 6.
The findings claim to debunk theories suggesting that federal agents incited the riot or staged a “false flag” operation.
Around two dozen covert sources were strategically placed in Washington that day, but the inspector general confirmed that no FBI undercover employees entered the Capitol.
Despite these confirmations, the presence of FBI sources continues to spark suspicion.
Three of these sources were tasked with observing domestic terror suspects, with several entering restricted areas during the chaos.
However, the Justice Department’s inspector general, Michael Horowitz, insists there was no authorization for these acts.
“None of the CHSs who entered the Capitol or a restricted area has been prosecuted to date,” reads the Inspector General’s report, cited by The Daily Mail.
Informants contacted groups like the Proud Boys and Oath Keepers before the attack but were not permitted to break the law.
Interestingly, one source’s testimony led to seditious conspiracy convictions of Proud Boys members, putting a complex twist on the narrative.
The inspector general also criticized the FBI’s failure to fully gather field office intelligence, which could have prepared law enforcement better for January 6.
Miscommunication led to inaccurate reports to Congress, yet it wasn’t deliberate misinformation.
“The FBI therefore should have canvassed its field offices for any relevant CHS information in advance of January 6,” says the Inspector General’s report.
Over 1,500 people faced charges due to the attack, often tied to false claims about the 2020 election.
Donald Trump, charged with conspiracy and obstruction, later saw these accusations dismissed after clinching victory in the 2024 election.
The president-elect now plans to issue pardons, branding the convicted as “patriots.”
