(GoRealNewsNow.com) – Kia’s latest recall of over 80,000 U.S. electric and hybrid vehicles exposes yet another failure in the push for “green” technology.
The liberal agenda’s rush to replace reliable, American-made gas-powered cars with untested electric vehicles is putting lives at risk and leaving patriotic consumers in the lurch.
The South Korean automaker Kia is recalling more than 80,000 electric and hybrid vehicles in the United States due to potentially life-threatening airbag and seat belt deployment issues.
This massive recall affects popular models like the Kia Niro, Niro EV, and Niro plug-in hybrid from 2023-2025, further eroding consumer confidence in the reliability and safety of electric vehicles.
The root of the problem lies in potential damage to the floor wiring assembly beneath the front passenger seat.
This faulty wiring can prevent airbags and seat belts from deploying properly during a crash, significantly increasing passengers’ risk of injury or death.

This recall is just the latest in a string of safety issues plaguing electric and hybrid vehicles. Over 208,000 Hyundai and Kia electric vehicles were recalled in November due to a charging control unit issue.
According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), the floor wiring assembly beneath the front passenger seat may become damaged, preventing the front airbags and seat belts from deploying properly.
“Air bags and seat belts that deploy improperly or an airbag deploying unintentionally can increase the risk of injury in a crash,” it said.
While Kia claims to have identified the issue in November 2024 with no reported injuries, thousands of Americans have been driving these potentially dangerous vehicles for months.
Moreover, vehicle owners will be notified in March to take their cars to dealerships for inspection and repairs, all at no cost.
Yet, this gesture does little to compensate for the inconvenience and anxiety caused to hardworking Americans who trusted these vehicles to transport their families safely.
This recall serves as a wake-up call to the dangers of rushing into an all-electric future.
It is time for lawmakers to prioritize the safety and reliability of traditional American-made vehicles instead of kowtowing to the green lobby and foreign automakers.
